Family-School Partnership Contracts

PEN offers contracts to 40 schools in Wyoming, targeting those that are Title 1 or low-performing on the Wyoming Department of  Education's AYP list (August 2007) for failure to make Adequate Yearly Progress.

Our Purpose for the contracts between local parent teacher groups and PEN is for parents to see the LINK between what is happening in the schools and learning at home.
Research shows engaging families in children’s learning has a positive impact on student achievement. Therefore- within the contracts for the 2007-08 school year, all activities approved for payment by PEN must have a meaningful link to the Wyoming standards with the work that is being done in the classroom, and how parents can support it at home.

bullet The contracts are for $200 per activity for up to 4 activities each year,  beginning September 1, 2007, until June 30, 2008.  The contract is available here
