Who We Are

The Parent Education Network is a statewide project that serves the families of all children. We provide parents of infants, toddlers, and school age children with information to help them influence positively the social, emotional, and academic growth of their children.
A number of organizations make up PEN. Together we help moms and dads help kids grow—at home and in school.

History

The Parent Education Network (PEN) began as a parent training and information project proposed by the statewide parents organization, Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming, Inc. (PHP).  PHP began as a coalition of families with children who have disabilities and has expanded to include all children. It was formed in 1989, and has been incorporated since 1991 when it started its first project, the Parent Information Center (PIC).  PEN is the coalition’s second project, a natural expansion progression to include parents of all children. PEN operates in collaboration with two other organizations.
